At this point, we’re used to being blown away by the work of Paris-based photographer and Joey contributor David Shama, so it comes as no surprise that the eerie, chilling music video he directed for David Lynch’s demonic blues number, “I Know,” ripples with a raw sexuality that’s nearly as nightmarish as it is provocatively captivating. David’s video is competing to become the official video for the famed director’s song, so vote for it here.

David Lynch’s 1990 film, Wild at Heart, follows 20-year-old Lula Fortune’s runaway adventures with her “manslaughterer” beau Sailor Ripley. Played by Laura Dern, Lula is raw, uncontrollable sexuality; every breath she takes, every tousle of the hair and bend in her back ripples with orgasmic tension. The flick—an absolute goldmine for beauty references—dishes out big hair, red lips and Lula’s leave-nothing-to-the-imagination wardrobe (she’s, apparently, a light packer).
