Joe Fresh and so clean. See what we did there?
We’re loving Canadian transplant Joe Fresh’s specialty items—$99 neoprene jackets with drop shoulders, $49 faux patent leather skirts!—and our newest love is its Landscape Sweater ($79). It looks like something Milton Glaser and David Hockney would’ve designed, so obviously that alone should compel you to buy it. Wear it with some rust-colored flair corduroys, stringy hair and roller skates.
Donatella, you beetch, now we want some Versace for H&M.
There hasn’t been a designer collab for H&M that we’ve been tempted to wait in line for, but seeing the studded black leather shift on Lindsey Wixson at the 0:55 mark on the Versace for H&M ad has us thinking maybe, just maybe we’ll wake up early on Nov. 17 and wrestle some nerds for it.
Joey’s newest favorite, Sarah Lavoine, has us gripping our credit cards and running to Fifth Avenue to cop her style.
Between ogling the real estate section of the Sunday New York Times (it briefly convinced us that $185,000 for a 243 sqare-foot apartment was a fantastic deal) and flipping through T magazine, we discovered Sarah Lavoine—the only princess who, to be honest, we think The Cut should dedicate a lookbook to. Shot in Lavoine’s Paris abode by Kava Gorna, the two-page photo essay shows off her fantastic personal and interior-design style. So many things we love in this, but especially that Ferragamo shirt, which we will be hunting for this week. Susan Miller did say we’d be spending a lot of money this month…. Wonder why? See more after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »
Joey No. 4 is live. Check out our fourth issue.
It’s the perfect time for the fourth issue of Joey, as the hot summer months fade away and we feel the need to reclaim our beloved New York City. The issue we were inspired by thoughts of escape and leaving home, getting away from the city, and we have amazing contributions by photographers David Shama, Alex Brunet, Shawn Brackbill, Jakob Axelman, Bon Jane and Graham Dunn. Throughout it all, though, we’ve now developed the urge just to stay put, at least for a bit. So tap the image above to see the issue, our farewell to summer, or click through here to read Creative Director Aaron Richter’s brief about Joey No. 4.
Model Chrissy Clark visits Joey for a brief bout with Nancy Sinatra.
Elite model Chrissy Clark is about to begin high school in the fall (yeah…they start ‘em early), but she’s been spending her summer making the casting rounds with her mom in NYC. She dreams of one day being a Florida Gator, though we predict some fashion pit stops along the way.
Long legs, tanned skin and Budweiser American flag cans are all we want this summer.
What are you doing this weekend? We’re dreaming about taking another trip to Rockaway Beach and lining up for a fish taco from Rockaway Taco and watching the surfers paddle out to sea. We’re also thinking about which one of these babies from RUNWAYDREAMZ we should buy. One for the models and one for ourselves? One for everyone! They’re sort of perfect for the sun-drunk, sea salt haze summers we’re always trying to dress for. So, which one?
That Henry Holland is quite good at making videos.
It is HOT in New York, but somehow this Henry Holland pre-collection video featuring a booty-shaking Eliza Cummings is helping us forget that. The clothes look great, she looks great and the song is so fun. Give it a watch or 3.
Brooklyn represent! A bunch of people we know made a music video.
Friend of Joey Alan Del Rio Ortiz just dropped an incredible video for Dev Hynes’ Blood Orange project, featuring a lot of pretty girls we kinda sorta know. Watch it, like, at least six times here.
More photos of rad models in cool clothes…because, what else, right?

Nothing says royal-wedding Friday quite like a handful of instant-film pics from the Joey No. 3 model portfolio, taken with our trusty Fujifilm Instax wide-body? Take a look behind the scenes of Joey No. 3′s model portfolio.
The first time we planned this issue’s model portfolio—back in January—our day of fun and photos and beautiful girls was stymied by 24 inches of snowfall in Brooklyn. That morning, only hours before call time, as we walked the block and our mascot Linus leaped with all his might between head-covering powder piles, we figured it best to postpone the day’s events for a later, less city-travel-unfriendly date. Round two, on the other hand, came together splendidly, with colorful styling from Katharine Polk, and wonderful makeup and hair by Anna Webber and Paul Warren, respectively. Check the behind-the-scenes video, featuring music by Canada’s White Wires, to meet all the girls, including Supreme’s Annaleise Smith, Kate Somers and Chrishell Stubbs; NEXT’s Olesya Senchenko; IMG’s Gaye McDonald, Lizzy Glynn and Valeria Efanova; and Elite’s Natalie Keyser. And click through to see the photos and flip through the issue. Read the rest of this entry »
